This is a picture of a baby sea turtle and a baby tortoise (the tortoise is the one next to the raspberry)!
Even though the two words are sometimes used interchangeably in colloquial English (tortoise vs. turtle), the lowest biological taxonomy they share is their order. To put this in perspective, turtles and tortoises are about as closely related as humans and lemurs, or clownfish and swordfish, or bears and tigers (!).
Between the two of them, though, they hold a pretty big share in the not-so-biological classification of “cute reptiles.”
